I use this as needed, mostly before applying any lip product to provide a smooth surface. You can actually see the dead skin come off of your lips as you are applying the product and as gross as it sounds, that's how you know it actually works!
I have full lips that peel easily. This is great to literally erase the skin and peel it off the dead layer gently. A must have for smooth lipstick or lip gloss application. I find that once I use it a few times, I use it less overall, making it a product that lasts too. Worth every dollar!
I love the facial mask version of this, so tried the lip exfoliator. I have really chapped, extremely dry lips during the winter, and they peel. I’ve used this a few now and it does exfoliate painlessly. I just gave it four stars because it hasn’t removed all the dry skin. But again my lips are pretty chapped, maybe for the average person it would work better. Or if I tried using it everyday.
There is not a day that goes by that my lips aren't dry no matter how much chap stick I wear. I've tried lip scrubs and it usually helps but only for the day I plan to wear lipstick and then it dries my lips out all over again. My first trip to Credo in SD I found this thanks to the awesome store manager, she showed me a small spot on her hand how it worked so I said I would give it a try. It is the best ever and I know it works because I can see the dead skin slough off and my lips are smooth for more than a day. It is a clear almost gel-like liquid that you put on and just rub away. No bad taste or smell. Plus can I say what a bonus it is to have a clean safe non toxic product to do this for me?
This is a solid product and does what it says: it helps renew flaky, dry, chapped lips. Is it the best product I’ve ever tried, or most cost effective? No. Sarah Happ sugar scrub still a top in my book. But this is a “liquid peel” product and quite different in construct. That said, still not as effective as a good, old fashioned scrub.
